Zaria Forman is an artist who specializes in creating beautiful drawings of land, sea and light. She finds inspiration in the remote corners of the world, where she traveled with her family growing up. Her series, Chasing the Light, is based on an expedition to the northwest coast of Greenland. The trip was first made by an American painter, William Bradford in 1869. Zaria's mother had always wanted to make the voyage herself but was not able to do so before she passed away. Zaria lead the expedition as a tribute to her mother and scattered her ashes in the sea. Her drawings in this series are both hauntingly beautiful and touching. It's amazing how well she can capture the movement of the ocean and the striking presence of the icebergs.
