It all started with a pink tutu. Photographer Bob Carey started to take pictures of himself wearing the tutu in various situations and environments to inject some humor and present something different to the art world. His wife, Linda, was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly thereafter. She won the first battle but only to have another recurrence. Bob was amazed by her fight and determination to beat the disease. He started selling the prints of himself wearing the pink tutu to earn money towards their goal to help those with the cancer in need of financial support. Their book, Ballerina, was published very soon afterwards containing new pictures and stories about Bob's tutu adventures. All of the net proceeds from the sale of the book and the prints go directly to The Carey Foundation.
