My friend hosts this great event called Malabomba, where you can go and see bands perform that feature or are inspired by music from around the world. This was my first time attending and I know I'll be going again. Be prepared to start dancing - the music is infectious, the people are awesome and overall it's a great night. Red Baraat is in the photo above.
Walked around A LOT in the arts district of downtown LA.
Stopped in Alchemy Works where I found a fantastic pair of black and white horn tumblers.
The main reason for coming to downtown LA was to visit the Arts District Co-Op. It is an open warehouse for multiple pop-ups for independent designers and artists. I discovered labels such as Gravity LA and Hulma. I was told that the spaces turn over often and you never know who you will find when you visit.
Stumbled upon Guerilla Atellier doing a drive by - it has such an amazing space and it a great spot for some home decor and clothing.
Some fresh juice and tea from Urth Cafe.
A hummingbird has built her nest outside of my front door and it makes me smile every time I walk by. I love spring.
